Agricultural Automated Vegetable Planter System Project
1. Project Background
In recent years, with the rapid development of urbanization and the transfer of rural young and middle-aged labor force to non-agricultural employment, the rural labor force has been decreasing year by year. Most vegetable planting relies mainly on transplanting. Transplanting is the most labor-intensive, physically demanding, and time-consuming process in vegetable production. Operations need to be completed within a short period of time. The difficulty of finding labor and the high labor costs have become direct constraints on the economic efficiency and sustainable development of vegetable production. Therefore, developing vegetable transplanting machinery suitable for the regional characteristics of Shaanxi Province has become the most urgent practical need for vegetable production.
2. Project Research and Development Content
By absorbing and utilizing the technical advantages of the Japanese Iseki PVHR-2-E18 vegetable ridge transplanting machine, the project aims to develop and manufacture a vegetable transplanting machine suitable for the regional characteristics of Shaanxi Province and the technical requirements of vegetable transplanting. This machine is capable of transplanting both on ridges and in open fields, completing multiple processes in one operation, including automatic furrow opening for various vegetable varieties, manual seedling feeding, mechanical soil covering, and pressing. This will reduce both production and manufacturing costs. While maintaining the technical advantages of the Japanese Iseki PVHR-2-E18 vegetable ridge transplanting machine, the project adopts domestic advanced mechanical design and manufacturing technologies, processes, and materials to develop and produce a vegetable transplanting machine with excellent performance indicators, moderate pricing, and suitability for large-scale promotion.
